Protest in Berkeley

Last week I covered a protest in Berkeley that essentially turned out to be an anti-war/pro-war protest. This was the largest protest that I've covered to date. Apparently, the city of Berkeley spent $93,000 in extra cop coverage and overtime for the one-day event. I got my camera shoved in my face by a Marine, and the cops did nothing. That's tax-dollars well spent in my book. Photos by Alison Yin
